What is Footboard?
Footboard is an abstract strategy game based on the mechanics of football.
It's like chess, just with 22 players, 4 dice, and a ball.
It's a way of bringing to life the tactics board that managers use to out-think teams.
And it's meant to be challenging...
It's different...
There are lots of good games out there where you get to manage a football club, but we built Footboard because there was no strategy game that allowed you to manage a team of players in real-time that felt like football.
What we've done differently is to abstract the rules of football (as chess does for battle) so that your chance of winning is entirely based on whether you can out-think your opponent.
Dice provide an element of chance and realism that also add to the complexity. Should you try a shot from distance or work the ball more? That's up to you...

Footboard Digital is a web2/web3 hybrid game that allows you to create and manage teams, buy and transfer players, and play against friends and other Footboard fans for money.
Footboard Five5 is an eco-friendly, wooden build-and-play game for younger football fanatics.
